Sachse High School 8th Annual Turkey Trot!

Event Schedule

Race day registration and packet pick up: 7:00 a.m.
1 mile walk/fun run: 8:00 a.m.
3 mile walk/fun run : 8:30 a.m.

Both races will begin at Sachse High School in the back parking lot. Warm Up begins at 7:30 a.m.

Event will be held rain or shine.

Chrono Track Timing

The Sachse Turkey Trot will be timed using the Chronotrack disposable tag timing system. To be included in the results and eligible for an award, you must wear the timing tag. Remove
the timing tag from your race bib and place it on your shoe. Your time begins when you cross the start mat and ends when you cross the finish mat.

Awards and Results

Trophies will be awarded to the 1st place male and female, and medals will be awarded to 2nd and 3rd place male and female in each age group. Overall best time rewarded for 3 mile.

12 and under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over

T-Shirts

T-shirts will be provided to all participants registered by 11/07/11. Race day registrants will receive shirts as long as they are available, and only in sizes available at that time. Shirts will not be mailed nor saved if you do not pick up your
packet.

Packet Pick-Up

Race Packets will be available for pickup in front of Sachse High School:

•Saturday, 11/19/2011 – 9:00a.m. -11:00a.m.

•Monday, 11/21/2011 – 6:00p.m.-7:30p.m.

Stage 3 Restrictions

• Landscape watering with sprinklers or irrigation systems is limited to once every two weeks between November 1 and March 31 according to your trash day.  An exception is allowed for landscape associated with new construction that may be watered as necessary for 30 days from the date of the certificate of occupancy, temporary certificate of occupancy, or certificate of completion.

• No hosing of paved areas, buildings, or windows.  (Pressure washing of impervious surfaces is allowed.)
• No operation of all ornamental fountains or other amenity impoundments using treated water.
• No washing or rinsing of vehicles by hose except with a hose end cutoff nozzle.
• Prohibit using water in such a manner as to allow runoff or other waste.
• Foundations, new landscaping, new plantings (first year) of shrubs, and trees may be watered for up to 2 hours on any day by a hand-held hose, a soaker hose, or a dedicated zone using a drip irrigation system.
• No hydroseeding, hydromulching, and sprigging.
• Existing swimming pools may not be drained and refilled (except to replace normal water loss).

• Rain and freeze sensors and/or ET or Smart controllers required on all new irrigation systems. Rain and freeze sensors and/or ET or Smart controllers must be maintained to function properly and may operate without restriction.

• Prohibits the planting of cool season grasses such as rye grass or other similar grasses (except for golf course and public athletic fields).

• Please be aware that golf courses may water greens and tee boxes without restrictions and public athletic fields used for competition may be watered twice per week.
